The short version: the Mi Carnal app doesn't collect, send or sell any of your data. Everything it does stays on your phone.
The app
- There are no accounts and no sign-up. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your progress (points, level, streak, the words you find hard) and your settings are stored only on your phone. Delete the app and they go with it.
- The app doesn't connect to the internet: the dictionary is built in. It has no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- To read words aloud it uses your phone's text-to-speech engine. Depending on your settings, that engine may be a service from Google, Samsung or another maker, with its own privacy rules.
- When you share a score, the image is made on your phone and only goes to the app you pick in the share menu.
This website
micarnal.app is static pages: no cookies, no analytics, no third-party fonts or scripts. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the usual data of each visit (such as IP address and browser) to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
The content site
content.micarnal.app is where a group of invited collaborators propose and review the dictionary's words. It stores each collaborator's email, name and proposals, only to run the site. When a collaborator asks for a suggestion for a new word, that word is sent to an external language model service to draft the entry; no personal data is sent.
If you write to us
We use your email address only to reply, and we don't share it with anyone.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, children included. Swear words are off by default, and switching them on asks you to confirm you're an adult.
Changes
If anything changes, we'll update this page and its date. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so here before it happens.
